Plan B Fish Fry, and Cyd's Blogging Challenge
These pictures are well over a year old now, but I love them and I wanted to get them on the web for others to enjoy. These are from our July 4th , 2005 trip to Creede. We finally had Mom, Dad, Allison, Jess, and Sunday and I all out there at the same time. Mom, Dad, and I made it to Wheeler Monument, which was breathtaking but an exhausting day-long journey.
We also finally got to take Allison and Jess to Creede's 4th of July fireworks display. Although it was a bit of a disappointing display that year, they got to hear the fireworks reverberate off the mountains, which is one of the neater things a fireworks display in the mountains can offer.
The highlight of the trip was certainly the Plan B Fish Fry. Allison and Jess hauled frozen catfish and all the fixings all the way up from Mississippi, and we threw a celebration for all the folks that helped us with buying the property and restoring the existing cabin. Here are the photos from that week:
I'll try to get pictures on the web a little quicker from now on. Since Picasa Web Albums is now up that will hopefully make this easier for me. (See my previous post if you're interested in trying Picasa Web Albums.)
On a separate note, Cyd challenged me a while back to blog consistently for 3 months, and if I do she promises to start her own blog. Well, thanks for the motivation Cyd! Sunday and I have been trying to get Cyd to blog for years now, so I'm not going to let this opportunity pass by. Cyd is definitely one of the more interesting people I know, and she's quite the storyteller, so the world stands to gain a treasure if Cyd indeed lives up to her promise. Here's to crazy stories from Jersey!

Cyd is definitely the Queen Bee storyteller - I still don't understand why here dispatches from south of the border haven't been published.
